Darren, that is understandable. :D
As to the number of ids...that was one of the questions i asked eBay. Surely trading under different names isnt fair. Like I told eBay, if I knew it was these people I was buying from I would never have bid in the first place. (Had a bad experience with a car mount from them:cry: ). It was all my fault of course...Said I didnt know how to use it 8O .
If they trade fairly why do they need to trade under different names???
The reply from superdog5000 was "Don't tell me what to do"...following emails consisted of swear words (on their part, must have hit a raw nerve there, me thinks 8) )...Not very professional, says it all about ther set up.
They really don't like critism :D .

Should they be including the pocketgps safety camera data base with their goods? 8O
They must be infringing some rules of pocketgps if they are? 8O
Would this be a reason to stop adverts from this so called legitimate business...Who would they complain to...Trading Standards??? _________________ What car in front???

I am looking to purchase sat nav soon for my PPC and e-mailed PDA mods who told me I could use a bluetooth tom tom nav 5 kit for my ipaq. Unfortunately even as a newbie I know that my ipaq has no BT function on it so guess their advice wasnt very good for me. seems to me if i had so many complaints against me i would try to reply on this site to some of the allegations and maybe clear the air a bit, or maybe they DO have something to hide!!!!
By the way love the site it is being of great use in helping me sort out a system for my IPAQ RX1950 seems not much available for it at the minute but have had good feedback off Holux with regard to their CR100 going to peruse more reviews now |

If not, wont you be discriminating against me? _________________ What car in front???

Whose Dan? I have checked and PDA Mods have a retailer licence which permits them to offer the database with new products. _________________ Darren Griffin |

This is the very reason I have not, nor would not use Ebay, it is rife with such rip off merchants and not knowing who you can or cannot trust, I keep well clear of Ebay. A couple of years ago I started getting charges on my credit card from Ebay, despite my protests that I had NEVER had an account with them, they refused to stop charging. Eventually they claimed they had a contract signed by me, I threatened legal action and challenged them to show this alleged contract and they finally stopped charging and refunded the money they had taken. Needless to say I had a lot of sleepless nights before it was sorted, so Ebay for me is a no go area.

i would not spend anymore that 100 on anything i buy from ebay unless its from someone with 100% good feedback, ebay is good for what it is but you do need to be careful. _________________ Regards

I have to say I have been using eBay since it began and have only ever had one issue with a parcel not arriving which was resolved vis PayPal's dispute process.
If you use some common sense, do not fall foul of phishing attempts for your log-in details and chedck feedback etc then it's as safe as any other form of on-line shopping. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Did you take up the matter with your bank?
Experience has taught me that you should give the merchant a chance to resolve the issue and if they don't fix it straight away or they argue the point then set your bank on them.
The bank then refunds the disputed charges and then goes after the merchant on your behalf. The merchants don't like it up 'em because the bank knows your rights and the merchant's obligations so they won't take any nonsense from them. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Sorry ...I meant Darren...in a rush yesterday.
So, let me get this straight. The people who use this/these forum(s) supply the updates and pocketgps then sell retail licenses to companies 8O . Who can then sell them on...Hmmmmm!!!
Previously you said the situation regarding PDAMODS was going to be looked at...When??? _________________ What car in front???

You also stated there is no proven case against PDAMODS .
So, therefore, everyone who has complained must be making it up 8O . And we're all liars .
Ofcourse, I get it now...Like you said, they PAY you !!!
So, PDAMODS were right. It is all our fault, the customer.
Afterall we couldn't possibly understand the complexities of installing a pocket pc into a car cradle etc(read their negative eBay feedback they leave if you complain) could we _________________ What car in front???

The retailer licence allows them to pre-install the database on hardware, it does NOT allow them to re-sell it.
We are constantly monitoring the situation but without evidence of wrong doing or malpractice (and 3rd party complaints whilst they may be valid are not evidence) we cannot do anything. _________________ Darren Griffin |
