Ali,
You didn't mention what hardware you were using. However you might wanna take a look at a post I made a while ago. But bear in mind this was very Hardware specific. Also check under the connections in settings that you have incoming beams switched off. Let us know what hardware you're using and check this one out.

For what its worth, mine is rock solid and has been for months. I don't even think about it any more. Picks up sattelite quickly and keeps them so it certainly isn't a case of the hardware being poor. _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

Ali
If you're stumped, call Holux and talk it through with them.
If I was you I would do a hard reset of your system and re-install stuff one by one but I'm comfortable doing this where you may or may not be. So the guys/gals at Holux will be able to help you. Great support there.
However, I do a fair bit of tech support and my best advice to anyone is to put the kettle on. Yep, thats right, make some tea. Even the most competent of techies arrive at the point where they can't see the wood for the trees. Take a step back, read all the documentation and follow a clear path of ellimination. Bear in mind that Sat signals can take a a while to pop up. These forums are full of people who have actually done something right but haven't waited long enough to see it happen! Its a personal bugbear of mine. The stepson is a total PC genius but sometimes he's going so damn fast he has no idea what he's done. Us 'oldies' are a tad more patient because we once had to wait for the tele to warm up :-)
Apologies if I'm patronising you but my intentions are good and I just want to see you get it working! _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

I totally agree, it's always best to sit back, brew a cuppa and have a think about things, let nature takes its course and if it's still not working, call Tech Support.

Hi,
Did the CR100 get an initial lock of more than 3 sats before you started your journey? If not sit tight for a couple of minutes before starting off to allow the 3D lock to be acquired.
Can I ask which dealer you purchased the CR100 from?
Regards,
Julie |

Hi,
I'm sure there is something about the TTN5 corporate install that needs something setting up on the phone side of the XDA2i to stop the PDA trying to grab the com port when it polls the network.
Can you give me a day or so and I'll come back to you.
Cheers,
Julie |
