Oh no what have I done? Please help!

I have been using my TomTom go 300 quite happily for the last 2 months until today. I have just downloaded the latest version 5.42. I did not create any additional space and attempted to load the update. The system effectively hung and I had to reboot. My tomtom, when switched on will only display a half red/half white screen with a tomtom unit on it. My computer connection will not "see" the unit so I cannot do anything to rectify it. I would welcome any advice.

put the card directly into a card reader and see if it is recognized. If not, reformat it and restore the backup you have made.

did you get it working again? if not i may be able to help, i also did that and lost it all, but i made a good backup before i instaled the update, i think the tomtom 300 dont have enough memory for the update unless you delete some voice on the card.
