Hi all
Thinking of getting TT Mobile for my C500, and in order to save some costs was thinking of getting a BT GPS receiver from Ebay and software CD separately. Has anyone had any problems getting this solution to work? |

I don't think TomTom don't sell the software separately yet. |

They are not available seperately. You must buy the receiver with the software. So it's not an option I'm afraid. |

Anyone (i.e. eBay) offering software as a standalone package is offering pirated software. Avoid.
The TomTom BT receiver is one of the best and well worth the extra expense to get it in the official bundle. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Don't you mean "some". They can't all be offering pirated software. |

I was referring to those sellers offering TomTom Mobile. As it is only available as a bundle then any seller offering 'new' TomTom Mobile software without the bundled bluetooth GPS is selling pirated software. _________________ Darren Griffin |

While I dont doubt the majority probably are. Just because they offer the software seperately it does not follow that it MUST be pirated.
I could by TTM and sell the software and GPS receiver seperately if I wanted, perfectly legal and no pirating involved. |

And whilst I don't wish to appear pedantic, I clearly stated my comments were in relation to 'new's software.
I admit there may be one or two but TT Mobile on eBay is predominantly pirated as can clearly seen by the prices! _________________ Darren Griffin |

While I don't doubt the vast majority are pirated, it is not impossible to sell the software seperately quite legally. I'm glad we've cleared that up.
And no, I'm not selling nor am I buying :P |

I'm delighted for him. Let's hope he never needs help with it as he'll get none here. _________________ Darren Griffin |
