I have had my Navman a week now and cannot imagine how I managed to get around without it before...
I have just noticed the SP2 for the software which I have already downloaded and applied but was wondering how often are the maps updated as I cannot see any downloads for them?
There is a new(ish) roundabout near me (6 months old) which does not appear on the maps and now that I blindly trust the directions given to me have to make a real effort to go around it rather than straight over the top.. heh heh.
cheers
John

I have the 3450, I just thought I would have spotted map updates from previous versions but I can not see any.
I have noticed another error where very close to my house it direct you into a dead end and tries to route you through a foot path, where do I inform Navman of these errors? |

The 3450 doesn't have any newer maps compared with the 3400. |

Dave,
Do you know if the release of new maps will be a complete map of a country or patches with the updated areas on them? _________________ In The Land Of The Blind The One Eyed Man Is King! |

I've been told new maps are anticipated some time in september. I do hope they take the opportunity to upgrade the sofware with routing problem fixes or maybe they'll release a new version. We'll have to wait and see.

onbashi, I would think that if it's nearly a year on there's a good 90% chance it will be a new version upgrade (chargable). |

I would. Hyperthetically speaking, most software companies tends to come out with a new release every 8-12 months. This usually is a pay upgrade to net them a little more money, but also to warrant this they have to put new features into their products otherwise nobody would buy the upgraded products. With that in miind, think of what features SmartST Pro doesn't currently have, and think what it could have, and you may be somewhere close.
Another thing to bear in mind is I doubt a company would sit back and not do an annual release knowing full well they can get a cash injection from this, they also have to keep up with the rest of the competition, slipping behind is always bad news and I suspect most would not purchase an upgrade on just maps alone. |

Possibly..... I know of some of the features that Navman were thinking/looking to include, but that decision may have changed. |
