|
|
Dear Group, after hours of trawling through old posts i'm still unsure about the post code search.
I have downloaded a database of post codes, although the only ones i'm currently interested in is my local vicinity so i have isolated these 2 files,
#PR.BMP
#PR.OV2
If i understand it correctly if i put these 2 files under my Great-Britain maps i should be able to use them as "Navigate to POI"
Am i right in thinking this or is there more to it than that.
BTW, my firmware Ver is 4.0420 on a GO 300
Many Thanks |

that's one way to do it. The other (and better imho) way is to upgrade to program version 5.x and use the full 7 digit postcode file provided with the newer maps. _________________ Lutz

You need the software upgrade to be able to use the postcode file. But you need the maps to actually get the file... It is technically possible to use your existing maps with a newer software and the postcode file, but it's in a legal grey area. _________________ Lutz
