|
|
I have a TT One on reserve at Argos but have been reading the map update thread and it seems quite a few peoples homes are not on the maps.
My house is fairly new, about four years old and I still get the wrong result on a post code search when using some retailers web sites.
They give a house on the main road instead of ours. I am now wondering if I will have the same problem with the One given what I have read on the map thread.
So could someone with a One (or a GO as I assume they have the same maps) check what comes up if you put in a post code of CH4 7LZ?
It should be "Lonsdale Court", or "Lonsdale Court, Lache Lane" but if it just comes up with "Lache Lane" than that is wrong and the post code database isn't up to date.
Sometomes post code look-ups insist CH4 7LZ doesn't exist at all and insist on saying I live in post code CH4 7LP so it is also possible CH4 7LP is the only code of the two it would recognise.
Thanks in advance,
Dave |

TTMobile but same data, Lonsdale Court comes up just fine. It has a junction with Lache Lane, is that right?
It's a very short street with a little bit of street sticking out of it near the end. |

If it looks like this:
then it is correct!
The above is a screenshot from Google Maps and since they use TeleAtlas I was hoping the TT One version of the map would have our street on it.
The bit sticking out is the turning bay.

Thanks for the feedback, our place was on the Garmin i3 v7 map so now I know it is on the One map I can return to mulling over the choice between the two. I thought £224 was great for the One but Argos keep dropping the price of the i3! GPS for £160 is very temping.
Decisions, descisions!

The i3 is a toy. Go for the ONE. |

Well you have took one i3 back to Argos. (another thread). Now you have reserved a TT one but you still can't decide which one to buy.
Don't forget to view before you pay. Because you can. :D |
Yes I took an i3 back as it had v7 maps but I have mentioned what Garmin had to say themselves about that on another thread which means I am still cosindering it regardless of map version (7 or 8).
When I first took the the i3 back, the One was selling for £279 not £225 so wasn't an option. I was going to wait until I was sure of a v8 i3 re-purchase the i3 - then Argos dropped the price of the One so it is back around the decision making loop once more.

For motorways, about 6 months. For residential 2-3 years. |
