|
|
A friend of mine has a HP Ipaq 2210. He let the battery run down & lost the data. I helped him re-install from the CD's & also updated from TTN5.000 to TTN5.210. However, both before & after the update it would only do a postcode search up to 5 digits.
On the SD card, there are 2 folders, "Great_Britain-Map" & "Zip". I am led to understand that "Zip" is the folder that contains the info for postcodes. I have tried again from the CD but still no joy. The folder "Zip" contains a file called "Great_Britain.Postal" which is 8.41Mb.
Anyone have any ideas what is needed to enable full 7 digit UK postcode search on this as i am stumped.
HELP! _________________ Best wishes.

There should also be a folder called TOMTOM on the SD card. It can be empty. _________________ Kam |

No folder on the card other than the one's previously mentioned. There is a file on the PDA called "TomTom". Unfortunately, when I started this topic, I was at my friend's house but i am now at my house & do not have the PDA with me at present. Going from memory though, I believe the folder "TomTom" had files in it, but I don't recall what they were called. _________________ Best wishes.

So I have to create a folder called "TomTom" & put it onto the SD card, leaving the folder "TomTom" empty? _________________ Best wishes.

I've look in the CD but they is only Postcode for London and One for the Netherland.
I've ask this question befor but I got a reply say not to ask for crack I'm a full register user of Tom Tom and I do not belive in crack versions.
Please somebody help.
I have the Tom Tom Navigator Mobile 5 and on that it gives me the full 7 digital postcode.

Hi,
rforgot to say in previous message the zip folder has 2 file 1 called Great_Britain.postal and setup.dat.
Is this correct because I've deleted the zip file from my pda and the tomtom folder and I still get a postcode like this SW18 (London).
So to me it looks like that it is not reading the files in the zip folder.
Am I right in thing this.
I've upgraded to the 5.2 version but it has installed it in the main memory I what let me choose where to install it. I would like to install it in the storage card.
I could copy it to the storage card and make new shorthcut but how can I get the shortcut on the today screen to look in the stoarge card.
Regards

The above will work, and is what is posted on the TomTom web site FAQ's but it consumes valuable memory, if you follow the advice to create the empty folder (or update to 5,2 as the installer will create the empty folder) then you will get the more efficiant set-up - Mike |

I have just encountered the same problem, trying to get FULL post codes to register. What you need to do is touch on "Navigate to" then go to next page which shows the icon "PostCode". This will give you the option to input the full post code.[[/quote] |
