Would just like to echo the earlier comments.
A really well organised event which probably overwhelmed the Hotel, what with all the cars that turned up!!!
For me, I really appreciated having the chance to talk to TeleAtlas to u/s how they collate their map and POI data and then wander over to TomTom to get their take on matters. Very revealing...
Many thx for a great event.
Here's to the next one. Having said that, the way GPS appears to be taking off, I think it'll be Earls Court/NEC next-time...
Cheers

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Everyone I talked to was very positive about the day. The only two problems seemed to be the size of the hall and the parking. We received a loot of feedback, both verbal and written, and will be looking to see how we can improve for the next one.
Funny you should mention Earls Court/NEC... I suspect that you should be looking a lot further North. Next year we will be aiming to put on at least 3 UK events in Scotland, the Midlands, and the South-East. We have also been asked to introduce them to the USA as well.
In the next few days we will be publishing the post show report, complete with a photo album. I hope you will all enjoy it... _________________ Mike Barrett |

WELL DONE GUYS!
I'd like also to recognise the efforts of all the PocketGSPWorld for a well organised and successful event.
Our team at EasyDevices and Globalsat UK were all completely knackered by the end of the day, but found it all worthwhile. _________________ www.easydevices.co.uk

It was good to see EasyDevices there with a large supply of goodies for sale. I bought a GlobalSat 338 - which saved me having to wait in for the postman to deliver!
An excellent event and a very enjoyable day. Thanks to all concerned. _________________ Nokia E65 & TT Nav6 |

Hi Mike
You were saying about a venue in the South East for next year.
Let me make a suggestion a lot of undercover space and parking for up to 15,000 cars.
Kent County Show Ground , Detling, Kent just off of the M20 and M2
this link should give you all the answers.

That could work. an other venue we are considering is Excel, in Docklands. Easy access and lots of parking.
As far as the Northern one is concerned we are looking for a venue to hold 2,000 to 3,000 in or around Edinburgh. We have been advised that the City Centre is a nightmare so we should be going for the outskirts of the city. _________________ Mike Barrett |

An excellent event!
It was good to see how it has developed from Ambleside and Swansea. Christine & I enjoyed meeting the Pocket GPS guys again, who have been unstinting in their support for, and helping folk with, the GPS technology. Many thanks!
Keep up the good work - we look forward to subsequent events.
