Thanks for the help from this forum i've not got TomTom 5.1 working on my Ipaq 2490
Not test it out fully yet, but at least I've got a connection, although only 3 out of 5 bars so far.
Just wondered if there is any way of getting a stronger signal? |

Only way I know of is to be someplace where the GPS unit can see more satellites. I've got three bars when I'm inside my apartment but move up to five as soon as I get in the car and drive around. |

Hi Manchester
You haven’t said what GPS receiver you use. Some are far better than others. I have the BT338 with my Ipaq 2210 and it all runs perfectly. I turn on my receiver and by the time I have TT5 up and running the receiver has made a fix. Right from the start it will show most (usually all) of the bars on the screen. I have used other receivers that are far inferior. If you are going to stick with the one that you all ready have then unfortunately you will just have to grin and bear it. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Have got a TomTom Bluetooth Mk II Receiver. And yeah it's only in the house where I seem to have poor reception.
TomTom doesn't appear to be the most reliable on WM5 at the moment, well either that or the 2490. As in my bluetooth settings sometimes the settings that i set up are not saved, so when i activate bluetooth and then go into TomTom there is no signal, and upon going back to my bluetooth settings i find that it has turned itself off which seems to be very weird. |
