how to upgrade gps driver for tt5.1

been trying most of the afternoon to do this and I dont usually ask questions unless i'm really stuck.

i have mda compact running TT5.1 and a holux 236.

All I am trying to do is to get the updated gps driver within 5.1 to work.

ive tried installing it and renaming the file "tomtom gps.exe" to ttgpsuk.exe and things like this, but tomtom always picks it up as v1.20. Is this hard coded into the software or something?

It starts fine from within "programs", but cant get it to link with tt5.1.

I wanted it for the logfiles etc

Any ideas?

sorry but the gps in tt5.1 is not updated it is still 1.20 because the way the gps application works in tt5 is differnt from tt3 this change took place when tomtom went to the common platform when tt5 was launched
