What a shame but I'm glad I read this forum.
I got a new k750i only 7 days ago and am more than happy with it.
I was going to go into town after work today and pick up a bargain TTG 500 for £320 but decided against it now !!
I do have 14 days with Orange to change my mind but is it worth it?!?! |

Bluetooth appears to be a complete joke.
I have written to TomTom and posted on here asking how the process works of having a phone added to the list e.g. is it instigated by TomTom or the manufacturer; how often is list updated; what is in the pipeline; and still do not have any answers.
At present (051022 1000 BST) the web site list of compatible phones is empty.
Buy a Garmin for £199, buy a Bluetooth headset from SonyE, have a nice meal with the money you have saved and live happily ever after would be my suggestion. |

Still no update from TomTom...FYI their customer support is very, very poor. I think they sell their product to too many countries ... tech support is very thin and weak as a result.
SE has released new firmware updates for the K750/W800 series. However, the latest SE R1NA005 firmware doesn't solve the sound issue for my W800 and TomTom 700. Same problem ... can dial, can download address book, but cannot get sound transferred to the TomTom.
Anyone else find a solution yet?

Buying another phone!
I notice the TomTom site no longer has a compatible phone list. |

They still do...for instance, the TomTom 700 page:
http://www.tomtom.com/products/features.php?ID=77&Language=4
states it is compatible with:
Compatibility
* T Mobile: Nokia 3660, Nokia 6600, Nokia 6620, Sony Ericsson T610
* Cingular: Sony Ericsson T637, Nokia 6620, Nokia 7610, Nokia 6230, Nokia 7610, Nokia 6600, Motorola RAZR 3, Motorola V551, Motorola MPX220
* AT & T: Audiovox SMT 5600, Imate SP3, Imate SP3i
* Verizon: Audiovox XV6600 |

I gather that this release fixes the problem.
I maybe because the SE750 uses bluetooth 2 not 1.1 |

Just got my SE K750i working (including voice) with my TomTom500.
updated tomtom to V5.420
Phone firmware is R1A044
with a bit of messing about on SEk750i with hands free and bluetooth settings.
in car - profile
automatic - hands free type
in handsfree (in both areas) - incoming call
if anyone else gets this running with their SEK750i but upgraded to the latest firmware, could they let me know and tell me the SEK750i firmware version they are running. |

After a lot of playing i have managed to get the trffic working on my K750i. When pairing the phone and setting up internet conection you get a window come up with three options "Allow internet connection while making calls" "Do not allow" or "Never allow access to Internet. After choseong the second option "Do not allow it now works, well not how as i would like because when it accesses the internet it disconects from handsfree until it has downloaded then re-connects the hansfree, but it will do.
One question i have, does anyone know why i do not get the calls name come up? it just says "Incomming Call" I have looked in the root and i have the "contacts.txt" file there and is formatted how it should be! |
