HP RZ1710 HELP/...

hello ppl, my PDa has started working again, but the problem that remains is that the battery lasts no more then 5-10 mins, can anyone tell me if the battery has been effected by the car charger, as the 1st time i put the charger to the PDA it just went blank and would not turn on, also i have lost the software for MY PDA model HP IZ1710, can anyone supply me it as i have the software key on the back of the PDA, just need the pocket pc 2003 Pro software, am sure that is not illegal... thanks correct me if am wrong... :D

Go to the HP web site and if you create an account (Its free) you should be able to download what you need. As for the battery it sounds like its been fried, what vehicle did you plug it into if its 24V lorry/ van etc then I would not use the charger again - if its 12V as most cars are get the power outlet checked for polarity, but it sounds like a defective adaptor - Mike
