Can someone explain to me how I enter my house as a place on TTN2? I have just moved into a new house on a brand new street so it's not listed in the software, and probably won't be for some time I'd imagine. Am I able to just extract the GPS co-ordinates and make the location up myself and name the street? This would be great so that I can navigate back to 'home' after a day out on the road.
Cheers. |

What I would do is identify the nearest street or road to your new house, and use that as your "Home" favourite. One problem in using the exact location of your home would be you would loose GPS navigation if Tom Tom assumes their is no road or street there. Once you got back onto a recongiseable position, the GPS navigation would start again.
Hope that makes sense, and good luck.

Russ, just drop to the map screen and locate your house manually by dragging, zooming etc, and tap and hold and you'll get a context menu up. Either add to favourite, or add it to a POI group. |

Thanks guys, I knew there must be a way but wasn't sure. I guess you can rename a POI that you enter as well? Haven't used the software that much yet, as you can tell! |
