most probably you got the wrong folder. See if the application is also installed to RAM. _________________ Lutz

uhh, that's a very old version. We don't have that any more. If you really need it, send me your data.chk file. _________________ Lutz

Sorry if I'm being picky, but wouldn't all these questions be better asked in the Navigator forum? |

|
|
What is the point of this alert ? I mean who would set an alert that says that ?
I'm honestly honestly not being ungrateful for the person or persons responsible for bringing us the gatso / mobile etc alerts because on the whole they are great - but what is really needed is a standard beep/laser/gong which you can set for "all other alerts" ie a bp garage or a mcdonalds outlet or whatever other POI that is't a speed trap or redlight.
I am assuming that anyone who does actually use these alerts already knows where it came from i.e. here but then again some may not - in which case i could se why it was added.
I had previously downloaded a poialert editor from here and changed the offending alert to a laser sound but having just upgraded to the latest release 5.420 and the latest data.chk file (5643) - the poi alert editordoesnt work with the latest data.chk file it gave an error saying it was unsure of how to handle the new format.
Hence, every time i drive past a BP garage it tells me that the BP station is brought to me by GPS world.com" |

I'm certainly showing my beginner status.
The information is, of course, in the article. I have now installed it on the ONE and it works fine.
By the way the satellite reception on the ONE is fantastic. Indoors and on tree-lined roads |

Hi Guys,
I have just got my ONE with the following build details:
App 5.410 (5628/050919).
Could you please advise me which POI spoken alert file I need to download as it does not appear on the assosciated list. Also whether it would be possible to upgrade my software to the 5.42 version?
Many thanks, in anticipation of your assistance.

Hi
Mine came with the same software which I then upgraded to 5.42 from the TomTom website
You then need to go to the first post on this topic where you will see the correct download for 5.42 for the speed camera sounds listed
Hope it works as well for you as me |

|
|
Hi
Got to say this is a very useful bit of software, I've used the star trek noise so long that I've started to ignore it.
Could really do with a 20 mph Gatso, 20mph Mobile and a 70mph Gatso on the tom tom 300 patch.
I got to thinking that what we really need to know is a reminder of the limit and not if the camera is a gatso, spec or temp, the display tells you that anyway!
I've programmed almost everything to give a gatso voice... but of course hit the snag that you have no Gatso 20 or Gatso 40. I did leave the mobiles set up separately as the mobile prompt does get you looking for vans which can be well camoflaged here in the UK.
If you are game for a big reshuffle how about;
SPEED CAMERA
SPEED CAMERA 20
SPEED CAMERA 30
SPEED CAMERA 40
SPEED CAMERA 50
SPEED CAMERA 60
SPEED CAMERA 70
MOBILE CAMERA
MOBILE CAMERA 20
MOBILE CAMERA 30
MOBILE CAMERA 40
MOBILE CAMERA 50
MOBILE CAMERA 60
MOBILE CAMERA 70
RED LIGHT
That way all speeds for both fixed or mobile are covered and specs, variables and temps can all be accomidated. The three word prompt may also help to wake you up!
I know everyone on the forum probobly has a different idea so maybe Just a Gatso 20 and 70 will do for now !!!!
Great work
