:D Bought one today from Staples £279.99,
no case, purchase as ptional extra
no AC charger, purchase as optional extra
UK full postcode maps
Car charger
Screen Mount (works very well, no vibration, feels secure)
Screen is very clear, worked well with low winter sun today
Audio, very loud and clear, despite other reviews, nothing to worry about
very very fast to get GPS lock
autozoom on maps is excellent
Great product, and at £279.99 its cheaper than the GO 300, biggest let down is the absence of a carry case,
Beats navman 520 any day of the week |

replacement data.chk file for the speed camera voices will not work, it corrupts the start up and causes the menu icons and text to be out of sync, also unnamed road becomes unnamed ferry
Very interesting in this state i got a menu with jukebox and shuffle song and incoming call options, looks like theres more hear than meets the eye.
anyway im off to figure out my speed cams, leave it to the experts to develop a new data.chk that works with the one. |

Got one myself today from Staples. Well actually a replacement for a faulty one I bought from them on Sunday (it had a faulty screen - probably was damaged in transit somewhere since the screen is pretty unprotected right at the front window in the packaging).
Compared to my Go 300 I am very impressed. The new chipset really does make a huge difference - it seems much quicker to get a lock and would consistently pick up 5-7 satellites inside the house! Will try it out in a 206cc with a heat reflective windscreen in the next couple of days so that will be a real test to see how much better the signal is.
Size is much nicer than the Go - certainly more pocketable when removed from the car, and the voice quality doesn't appear to have suffered too much from the reduced speaker size.
Need to give it a good run in the car to test the battery life, but even if it is only two-three hours, the better GPS chipset and smaller size more than make up for it.
This device will completely kill the Go 300. I wouldn't be suprised if TomTom eventually replace the entire Go range with devices with the One's form factor. |

hmm i dont know if i would fully agree with regards to map data. As i have used AA, Destinator, Navman, TomTom etc which i find some of them to be different when used in Scotland. _________________ Regards

The hardware receiver would get a better signal as it is SiRF Star III. _________________ Regards

WHY OH WHY DO THEY STILL KEEP PUTTING THE CHUFFING SPEAKER AT THE BACK?
What is it with the designers? Do they have ears on stalks or something or do the laws of physics work different over there?
