I've knocked up a bookmarklet to convert Google Maps results to POIs. Hopefully it will be of use to someone.
An example is to search for 'car park' in 'manchester'. The bookmarklet will grab the POI data from the results, ready to import into your Streetpilot. |

I am getting: Bad regular expression. google may have changed its data format. Has anyone had a similar issue with FireFox and is aware of how to resolve it. Thanks. |

works with firefox 1.5 rc1. what did you search for? if you search for a postcode it won't work. but if you search for a general term "swimming pools bradford" etc it works.

Actually, this doesn't work in Opera, I get an error message saying there is no extractable data. All that will work is directions.
I've also tried it in IE6 and in that case I just get nothing.
Looks as though it will only work in Firefox |

I just tried it using IE 6 and Netscape Navigator 7.2 no problems with either, is it something related to your security settings Doug?
Best regards

Thanks MaFt. Followed your advice and all is working well now. I was actually searching by post code with no joy but looking for POIs as such seems to be working. :D |

I noticed that the maps are supplied by TELEATLAS though and if my dead TomTom is anything to go by then I would probably steer away. |
