|
|
See here for details.
Is this update meant for me?
We recommend this update if the version number of the application on your TomTom GO is lower than version 5.420.
What's new in 5.420?
- It's even easier to start a Traffic trial on your device.
- After setting up TomTom Traffic, it is automatically enabled.
- CDMA is now also supported for connecting to TomTom PLUS.
- Streets with the same name in towns that are close together are not confused in this version.
- The quality of the sound has been optimised when using hands-free calling (GO 500 and 700).
- Version 5.420 is compatible with more mobile phones.
- All entries in the phonebook on your mobile phone are now transferred to the device, no matter where they are stored.
Warning
This update is not suitable for TomTom GO devices running applications based on the TomTom SDK (Software Development Kit). The SDK uses application versions 5.202 or 5.203.
Other language versions will follow very soon.

Great. Will this update upset anything you have installed from previous version 5.202 i.e. speed cameras etc _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt

Yes! you should not use this update if you are using SDK apps that are developed for v5.202 or 5.203 |

No, he won't. We are all waiting for a GO version that's compatible with the SDK. 5.420 is useless for us coders _________________ Lutz

Back to 39 PoIs. Nothing like enough on a 700.

I have just installed version 5.420 to my TTG and it has changed all the speed camera icons into red boxes. What should I do to get them back to their orginal condition? |

|
Has anyone been getting problems with the latest upgrade. I installed it and my Go700 froze on the splash screen and would not turn off, tried resetting and it still froze on the splash screen. Restored my backup I made prior to doing it and all is well again. Should I remove Pocket GPS cameras before trying this upgrade again. Any help would be appreciated |
