Hi
I have just been told that the Police are using a handheld speed camera in a local village, its good news because there are a lot of schoolkids around morning & evening.
My point, I have downloaded the Speed camera database, how do I update it on my TT300 & how do I let you guys know so it can be added to the database. |

Hi there,
You have to be running version 5.202 and also have Scaredcats Apps installed on TTG to save as you drive pass or if you see it stop near it and save as a fav.
then send ov2 file to the boys on this site address is on left hand side of page. Hope this helps |

Have a look here for apps and version 5.202
http://www.automated.it/ttg-apps.html
This will change the TTG so make sure you have backed up your TTG files before doing it |

Sparkey that is simply not true....
Snorty, all you have to do is save the position as a POI by any one of the usual methods (if you are at home you can BROWSE MAP, put the cursor on the position, then save cursor position as a POI; or if you are at the place, ADD FAVOURITE / GPI POSITION then move and rename it as a POI later.
If you make a new POI category called "My cameras" or similar, you can add any new ones you see, and then email the newcams.ov2 file (it'll be in your map folder) to Cameras@PocketGPSWorld.com once a month.
Here's a slightly longer description of how to do it when you are in the car:-

No you don't.
I'll admit that to save directly as a POI is a few more button presses without Scaredycats app, but as the guy knows where the site is, if he's worried about doing it while driving, he can get set up with only the final press to do as he goes past.
I do that all the time. |
