I Handtek!

Nice to see someone from the company on here. Hope you don't mind me asking, but can you shed some light on when your unit will be availble for use with the axim x50v PDA?

Im in the UK, so I don't know if this will affect the date?

Hoping its soon!!

This mount sounds ideal for my needs, with one exception, it only seems to come with a cigarette lighter adaptor. I would really like to hardwire the mount into my car to cut out all unsightly cables. Does anybody know if this is possible with this mount?

Thanks.

Hi Handtec,

Can you shed any light on timescale now? Ive just been quoted 2-3 months by the UK distributer.

Maybe you would like to send me one to TEST for you in advance? Laughing Out Loud

it does seem that way.. mid october for the Dell units.

Handtec is the UK distributer for ThinkNavi.

On the note of hard wiring the thinknavi we had a customer who sniped the carcharger off the cable and had an electrician hard wire the kit to his fusebox..not too sure how viable and safe this is.

Well, i bought one of these on the strength of the review, and I must say that I am Gobsmacked!, this unit is small, light, compact and very nice looking, all the required fixings are included, installed it my car, opened up TomTom, selected Com1 serial port, and a baud rate of 4800, within 25 seconds I had a satalite fix.

What a wonderful product.

I have a '99 Peugeot 306, It does not have a heated window. I turned off the air-con and heating system completley based on reviews I have read.

Hi Peeps, I recently bought one of these cradles for my ipaq 2215. I powered it up in the house using the charger for my ipaq, got a fix after a while and it seemed Ok. Tranferred it to the car and it took about 40 minutes to lock onto the sats, but after that it was nearly straight away. I am most impressed, the volume of the speaker is good, even with the cd player on. The fitting to the grill is OK but a bit of a to remove if you don't want to leave evidence that you have one for the large criminal element in this country. The instructions are quite clear and easy to follow as there is only three Laughing Out Loud.

Well its now February and still no DELL units!

They must have lost a lot of revenue from this. And why bother telling us that a product is due in x weeks when its obvious you havnt even manufactured it!

Wont be spending my money with this company in the near future.
