I am having trouble using POIextend. Whenever I try and load my data.chk or Tomtom navigator.exe files i get an error message saying "Run-time error 76" "path not found". I have copied the files to the POIextend folder without success. I have even copied the files to a folder called "originals" in case I was misunderstanding the instructions.
Can you please tell me where I am going wrong
I am using TT Navigator 5.00 |

Before posting I searched all forums for any reference to POIextend to see if the answer was already here. The only information I could find was in the Tomtom Go forum, so I asked my question here, it being an application for Go or Navigator. Apologies if I was wrong. I don`t want to post the question in the Navigator forum now as that would be double posting |

Dave, I haven't used POIExtend so don't have the answer but the instructions at http://www.rayflanagan.co.uk/poiew.html say to copy the ttsystem file and not the navigator .exe file? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren. That is the instruction for Tomtom Go. Further down it says for Navigator to copy the Tomtom Navigator.exe file. Unless I am reading it wrong which is very possible. |

Hi Dave, When you unzipped the original download (poiextend.zip) to your hard drive 3 folders should of being produced, originals, temp and modified. Copy your data.chk and navigator.exe into the originals folder and load from there. _________________ Ray

Thanks Ray. For some reason the originals, temp, and modified folders weren`t created. I`ve downloaded it again, unzipped it, the folders have now appeared. What I would like to do is include Tomtom`s Bell 1 sound (or something similar) in front of the spoken warnings. Is this possible? |

Thanks Ray, I should hear that, but how do I download it. At the moment all I can do is hear it play. |
