We like to support local charities related to GPS Activities such as mountain rescue, life boats, etc. Imagine our surprise to find that Hampshire is one of the few regions in the country that does not have an Air Ambulance!
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance appeal was set up a short while ago to provide a service operating out of Southampton. The charity supporters need to raise more than £65,000 per month to make the air ambulance viable and rely on voluntary donations. The helicopter will carry a doctor and paramedic and will respond to calls across the Isle of Wight and Hampshire. Using a Bolkow 105 aircraft, which will be able to carry two patients, it will provide cover within 15 minutes of an emergency call.
The proceeds of the Prize Draw will be donated to this charity. Details of the prizes donated by our sponsors will be announced soon, and I can promise you there will be a lot of very happy people this Christmas.
If you are interested in further information about the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity or wish to make a donation they can be contacted by phone on 01962 892626 or by post at:

Let's give Mike the benefit of the doubt and blame it on a sticky keyboard

Lets look at it the other way round. Nobody comments on the hundreds of words I spell correctly.
I blame microsoft and the spell checker. Particularly in this case as Darren had already corrected it for me.
PS do you still need a passport for the Isle of Wight?? _________________ Mike Barrett |
