I wandered onto the ViaMichelin store today and found this notice:
A new version of ViaMichelin Navigation will be available in a few weeks. If you already own a ViaMichelin navigation software product, register it now and you will receive a special promotional offer!
I know there has been debate on this before about whether it would be a new version or just new maps. Of course, perhaps we are losing something in the translation from the original French, but the site does actually say a new version.
Any thoughts? |

Here's the French :
Attention, une nouvelle version de ViaMichelin Navigation sera disponible dans quelques semaines. Si vous possédez un logiciel de navigation ViaMichelin, enregistrez-vous dès maintenant pour bénéficier d'une offre de mise à jour privilégiée.
It's just the same ! |

Right, in that case, we can be sure that Michelin are stating that there is a new version in the offing. It would be nice if they can sort out some of the bugs that keep coming up.
Personally, I would like to see the ability to navigate by way-points and for the software to stop getting mph and kph mixed up when calculating estimated time remaining. |

There are several bugs, and annoying little problems, but the lack of way-points is a serious omission. |

Let's hope they follow TomTom's pricing strategy of charging just Euro 59 for the upgrade to TT v5 which included CDs of the maps. |
