Very strange but seems ok now
i have just downloaded the windows software update & installed that
TT5 still shut down
i then turned off all POI's other than Speed revenue Camera's & Redlight Cameras etc
( the main other ones i had on were Parking, Filling stations, B&Q, LPG, forbidden turns. (there is only 1 filling station {POI} in the locations i gave before))
Now it has stopped shutting down
on Map View and demo routes
will have too test it on driving route
But all seems well at the MO

I Have the same problem. Recently my iPAQ hx4700 went back to HP and they replaced the motherboard. After that no problems.
For a while......
I have been looking at the memory management, Cf card configuration, faulty files etc. I noticed that at certain locations the problem got wors. This gave me the idea that the mapfiles may be corrupt. The A2 near Eindhoven (NL) was guarantied to give problems during travel. The same when looking at maps or route.
The funny thing was that when I first used Tom Tom and after the repair at HP I had no problems.
After reading this topic I turned of the POI and it seems to work. Tomorrow, I have to vist a customer at Amsterdam. I am curious if I get it past Eindhoven. |

|
|
I think I may have a fix for those users who experience TT5 shutting down while on a journey. I had the same problem before but now everything works as it should be.
PM me for the file. Please post your results on the thread and include your PDA model and PPC version. |

For those asking me for the fix, please include your email in the PM.
For those already received the fix, please post your result after patching your TT Navigator. Include details like PDA make and model, TT and PPC version, etc... This would help other users who might wish to evaluate the fix.
Thanks. |

I have turned off POI. This seems to work. I went to Amsterdam and back without any problem. It looks like a serious bug to me. |
