I'm I being think, or is there no way of actually seeing/editing the coordinates of a POI that has been entered into POI Warner? Short of exiting the POI files in notepad?
Why are all these GPS applications rubbish? They never do what I want. I mean surely the one main function of a POI program would be to be able to add your own POIs by typing in the coordinates like a waypoint in a normal GPS?
I'm sick of having to manually hack the files all the time........ all I want is a program that works! |

POI-Warner gives you the option to set one of your units buttons to record a poi as you pass it (even add the poi to an existing type), what is easier than that, or have I not understood what you want to do. |

Yes it will let you click the map and add that point as a POI, or add the current GPS position as a POI.
What I want to do is enter the coordinates (latitude and longitude) of a POI. As in, if someone gives me the coordinates of a point of interest I can just type it in and it'll show me where it is on the map. I can do that by manually editing the POI file, but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing it directly in the program. I'm sick of having to manually hack the files. |

Basically what I want is to be able to manually adjust the coordinates of a POI by editing the latitude and longitude on the PNA itself without having to do it on a PC or hacking the files with notepad.
I'd also like to be able to load a .gpx file in as a list of POIs. Is that possible? |

Well I've managed to get this bit to work at least. I've found out that POI-Edit can read a GPX file, and write it out as as CVS file which POI-Warner can read. So that's progress at least. I can now load a list of geocaches in an area and have them all appear at POIs. I've also loaded the speed camera database........ not that I'm too fussed about that but since I have the ability now I may aswell use it.
Still no luck on being able to easily enter coordinates though. |
