Hi All,
since I had my ttg I have had the camera database on it, & it does me proud,,,,a beep or a bugle lets me know there is a camera somewhere. So plz tell me, what are the benifits of the speed zoned database?. Is the only difference, the fact that it tells you what speed the restriction is ? & finnaly is it worth replacing my old familiar database with it.
thank you, &cheers.

Hi stanmo,
Yes the speed zoned database (Gatso, Mobile, and now SPECS) lets you know the reported speed limit for each known camera.
As to whether it's worth replacing your non-zoned database with the zoned one then only you can answer that question. Personally I think that it is worth it - so I use the zoned databases.

I use the speed zoned set, not so much for the speed limit, but for the fact that you can set a different warning distance for each speed.
If you have the single file set, or the gatso set, then, if you set (say) 500 yds for the warning distance, it would be fine on a motorway, but in a 30 limit I could forget the warning by the time I get to the camera _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
