I have just sold an ipaq with tom tom navigator 3 and I want to purchase an equivilant, but without the PDA option. I was happy with what Tom Tom provided, but I am not stuck to going with them again
It will just be for car navigation as I am a IT engineer. Needs to have Voice instructions, clear maps and lots of POI's.
Also the chance to upgrade maps |

Hmm if you liked TomTom i would suggest you stay with them, maybe look at the TomTom GO range? |

I have just brought a Holux GPSmile 60 which comes in at about 260inc vat and although it is still a pda was specifically designed to be used as GPS and has a sirf star III receiver built in.
It don’t have Bluetooth but unless you want instant updates via your mobile or to use it as hands free which i dont i am very very happy with it. It comes complete with car kit and runs Tomtom 5 very well and you have the option to change the software should yo need to.
I used to use a Dell Axim and Bluetooth receiver but this is years ahead and is a nice compromise.
Expect it may have its drawbacks like most do but for me its the best of both worlds and does the GPS bit well.!! |

Save up £20 more and buy the TomTom ONE when it's released.
See the news article on this website. |

Yeah if you don’t need the PDA side of things (which i do find handy for organising my tasks and calendar etc) The Nav one is going to be the cheaper solution, but will have less functionality than the PDA based systems. _________________ Regards

Thanks,
I think I will go for a Navman
Whats the difference between a ICN 510 Premium and a ICN 610.
The 510 is listed as £249 + VAT and the 610 as £169 + VAT on dabs.com
