Hey'a All !
I'm looking after some PDA for city navigation. after some researches i've founded some suitable 'candidates':
1. Mio 168RS
2. Mio 169
3. Acer N35
The wierd thing is, that the Mio 169 got better specifications than the 168 or the N35, but here (in Israel) the 168RS is way more popular than the others, and after it comes the N35.
My question is, would the 169 give better results since it got a SiRFIII antenna ? does it really matter when you are on road or the 168RS antenna is enough ?
I would be very happy for some opinion on every model on the list above
8) (espcially from Mio 169 users)
Thank you very much !
Yours, MadCow. |

It really all depends on:
Where are you going to use it?
What car you driver (heat reflective windscreen, can cause issues)
What weather condiditons etc.
All of these and more can affect your signal.
The SiRFstar III should make a difference when getting a lock from satellites, in my experience i can get a lock in my living room with a SiRFstar III receiver but dont get a lock with a SiRFstarII receiver by the window. In my personal experience there is a big difference between receiver types. _________________ Regards
