Inside ..\copilot\datacd\language.dat (which is editable by notepad ~ try changing uk=J to uk=Exit (twice) for better motorway speach) there is an entry
UK=You have selected passenger mode. The Passenger mode should not be used by the driver while the vehicle is being operated.
Is this a hangover from an earlier version or is there a way to enter passenger mode which I have not yet found?
Alternatively does anybody know where the key is that sets the POI's to switch off above 5mph? It is really annoying for the passenger to be guiding to a POI and it keeps disappearing from the screen!
Thanks Paul |

There is a setting in the options to configure this. Check that you have the latest version, the early versions of CP didn't have the option. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Uh, I'm talking about the POIs disappearing - sorry I wasn't clear in the original post. |

Quote: | There is a setting in the options to configure this | Skippy, please could you say where in options this is please? I have 5.01.48 but can't find anything to do this. Although last week for some reason on one journey (in Guidance/3D mode) all grouped POIs were showing throughout the journey to work and part way on return. Then they just stopped displaying again (during the journey) - except when stationary as before. If I configured something it was by accident and I don't know what; nor was it permament apparently! (Camera notifications still work OK at 0.5 miles though.)
Thanks

I think this is the first time I have asked a question that has not been answered!
What incentive can I offer |

Form what I have seen of language.dat it contains phrases used by all of the ALK products and for all languages. So I suspect that the phrase in question is only relevant in some other product. I vaguely recall seeing passenger mode mentioned in a blurb on one of the products but I can't remember which one. I've been running an extended test of the contents of language.dat to see which phrases get used and which ones don't. _________________ --Ken
