Hi....
This (i guess) is a silly question..... But i have speed camera detection on my sat nav. Can you tell me, i know it covered Gatso etc (fixed) but does it cover mobile camera's ?
I have an option to set for mobile but as they are mobile how does me sat nav know when there is one. Does the camera give off a signal which my sat nav picks up to warn me ?
Many thanks for your help

If you are using the database from this site it is a collection of sightings of Mobile Cameras. This means that cameras will be there at sometime over a period of several months. If you get a warning that a camera is nearby, and you don't see one, be thankful.
No, the cameras don't give off a signal that the sat nav can detect. _________________ Richard

Which sat nav are you using? if it is tomtom, then the speed camera database from this site is what you need as it covers the lot. It is triggered by location not signal detection, unless it is a warning device rather than sat nav - Mike |

Hi Many thanks for your repies....
I'm using Navigon MN4 with POI Warner + the subscription to the speed camera sofware as i don't know if i can use the PocketGPSworld data base ?
But many thanks for your advise, i was unsure if the camera gave off a signal that the SatNav picked up.
This is very handy to know as i thought the above thinking i would get an alert if a mobile camera was about, but i guess this is not the case.
Many thanks |

As you are already using Navigon 4 + POI-Warner, have a look at my web site, it shows you how to setup the Safety Cameras from this web site.
