|
|
In order to keep the original ttn5 sd card as a master backup, I copied all directories and the program file to a 256MB sd card. I can install and launch the application but after a few setup questions (voice preference, time format etc) it then reports "No maps found!" and I can do nothing but hit the Cancel button which quits the application.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Try a SOFT RESET
or
Switch the pda on then off WITHOUT the SD card then insert the card & switch on

Thanks for the reply but I just figured out what the problem was.
When I copied the original ttn5 sd card contents to my 256MB card, I copied the files/directories into a sub-directory of the sd card root. It seems that tomtom needs them all in the root. When I moved the file and directories to the root it all worked fine.
Having looked at a few other posts on this forum tonight, I get the feeling this may be what some other people may have been having trouble with.
So the answer is to copy the files to the backup sd card but keep the same directory structure. |

I had a similar problem when changing SD cards on a Mio 168 where the software (Memory Map, TTN5, file explorer etc.) didn't reconise the files on the new card. I had disabled the 'wake up on removing/inserting SD card' option. It seems that the Mio 168 can't reconise the new card unless forced (not sure if this applies to other pdas), re-enabling this function switches the Mio on when removing the card, you have to switch it off before inserting new one, the Mio will again switch on. This time the programs see the new card correctly. A soft reset also works. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling
