You can now both exit Junction 12 of M5 (Gloucester) southbound as well as join the M5 from Junction 12 Northbound. TTN2 still shows the old junction where you could only leave junction 12 of the M5 going Northbound or join the M5 from Junction 12 if you were heading South.

Because I have to find a new & unknown location every day I tend to ask my customers for the nearest junction when they are listed on a very long or popularly named road. In your case, if you search on Ambleside Road you get Guildford road listed as a junction for that.

Most of the houses in many of the villages in Wales have a name but have never had a number and in a lot of cases these names have been there for a hunred years or more. I find it inexcusable that the software does not include house names. One of my houses is called 'Clydfan' and has been for at least the last 200 years yet ( its been in my family for at least 250 years) it still cannot be found as it is in the counry side on a road which according to TTN2 is unnamed with no house numbers. I can only assume the maps are not four months out of date ie December 2002 but perhaps December 1802. the postman has no difficulty finding it when he wants to deliver a bill!!!

I think this last item is a TomTom problem rather than the maps - you dutifully select the correct place from the list, and the final location is indeed correct, but the name that TomTom then shows is different, presumably the first it finds in the database? A couple of examples I've had are Ware (East Hertfordshire) being 'favourited' as Ware (Dover), and an address in Coventry being listed as (Basingstoke and Dean)...

The maps in my area are atleast 5 years old as there has been a new road and a Tesco built http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=263033&y=211972&z=1&sv=263250,211750&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf on this site where TTN2

doe snot even have a road also it has a HSBC cash point in the middle of the feilds and the Swansea enterprise park Mcdonalds would also be in a middle of a feild and they have been there for at least 15 years.

Why is it so far out of date any one got any ideas as www,streetmap.co.uk is bang upto date.

The more I read this the more I am convinced that TomTom need to either re-invest in some up to date maps or supply an editor that allows users to add to and edit the maps they have. I have a road right outside my house that is listed as "do not enter" in tomtom, but this is compleatly wrong and it never has been a "do not enter" road. This means that all routes planned from my house go miles out of the way down small country lanes just to avoid this bit of road. :x
Any programmers out there that can decifer tomtoms mapping format and produce a simple editor?
