When setting up the receiver, set it to Other Cable NMEA, Baud 4800, Serial Cable on SP2 |

Hi, just wonder how you got on with the suggested settings for your medion pda / gps receiver, using the combined medion ppc150 pda / gps rx myself and having installed tt5 tnight looking to set the gps receiver up correctly.
cheers,

Right guys further to my last post, have entered the suggested settings into my medion ppc150, just one thing during this set up process it will give you the option " specify your gps hardware, si I press " other cable NMEA GPS " then select then GPS baud rate so I choose 4800 then I press " done " so it will then show the " GPS is connected to :
usb cable
serial cable on SP2
serial cable on com1: com 3
native IR:
there is a cancel button at the bottom off the screen and his will take me back to the " specify your gps hardware " screen as before so I take it the info that I previously set is already saved on the PDA ??
slighty confused in this final part off the set up process !!! and would appreciate if anyone could help me out, would certainly be appreciatted.
cheers,
john |

You need to select 'serial cable on SP2' on that screen, then it should take you back to the configure screen, the sats may take several mins to start showing as grey bars first, then after another few mins they should start turning to blue bars, at this stage on that screen top left it will then show 'other cable NMEA GPS', but only as you get the blue bars that show a lock. |

If you cannot get it to show a lock on the sats (blue Bars), then I have a gps firmware update for the Medion MD95000 - Model No. MDPPC150,
but only for that version.
You can download it Here
There is also a video of the settings Here,
it's a 1.05MB download |
