Lets see, I have a convertible car which I have the roof down for say 3 months of the year. I have up to around £700 to spend and I am bored of maps and mappoint. So what PND should I get?
I like the idea of touch screen, but also like the idea of a smarter machine... you guys seem to be the experts so please tell me what you think, or should I go for something totally different?
your help is appreciated |

As always the end decision is yours. Of the GO700 and iCN650 I'd choose the GO. It's got Traffic, Handsfree Phone, 7 Digit PostCodes and excellent custom POI support.
If you're around in Nov come along to our GPS Roadshow in Basingstoke and you can see the units in the flesh. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The GO range has the best interface and usability of any. You need to decide if you need handsfree capability and or pan European map coverage. If not then you might find the 500 or 300 will suit at and save some cash at the same time. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Big speaker in the Tom Tom as the SELOC found in their recent French trip - open top Lotus, 80mph in the rain and could still hear it! If that isn't important the last few 650s are being discounted at the moment, but maybe the iCN550 with touch screen and Traffic Management would suit better. The 550 is expected to be generally available at the beginning of Nov, I hear. Greg _________________ See web |
