Hi there
I am writing this if your like me and dont know that much about tomtom's, its a beginners guide which should cover everything on how to set this up.
Make sure you have a backup !!!!
1) Download the files ffrom http://www.automated.it/ttg-apps.html
2) Extract the files like you would any normal zip file
3) Extract the 5.202 zip, then edit select all the files and copy then straight into the tomtom just overwrighting the old ones. Disconnect the tomtom and turn it on.
4) Let it sort itself out and then turn it of and connect it back to the computer.
5) You will know the update has been successfull as the screen when the tomtom is connected to the computer will look different from the last one.
6) Open the readme file in the folder and follow the instructions of copying
dkRegistry, skin and catapps folders to your Go
7) Copy the contents of copy_to_maps_folders into your map folder, for example I only have UK maps so I put it in there.
8 ) I then took out the usb cable turned on the tomtom and double checked it was in there by going to Manage POI then enable POI and My Cameras should have a tick in the box by it.
9)Then if you scroll through the main menu you will see an Icon for Quick Add Camera mine was on page 4 of 5.
10) Now I copied the file tomtom.mnu that came with the donwload into my SDKRegistry file and the quick add cam ended up on page 4.
11)This is the tricky part and it drove me up the wall, be warned
12)Basically the tomtom.mnu file is telling the tomtom in what order to put the icons on the screen. So for example when people are saying that the Add Camera is on page 4 its down to the tomtom.mnu file telling the tomtom to put it there.
13) I donwloaded the updates from scaredycats site, the one at the beginning of this article and it still didnt put them in the order I wanted.
14) I had also tried all the ones suggested on here. However I went from for pages on my tomtom to I think 15.
15) I ended up with the following configuration
Page 1 Navigate to
Find alternative
Clear route
enable auto swticher
change prefernces
Page 2 - advanced planning
browse map
view route
mobile phone
itineray planning
page 3 - tomtom weather
downlaod extras
tomtom traffic
guided tour
configure gps
page 4 - add favourite
quick add camera
stop auto switcher
set time zone
what time is it
16) I copied the tomtom.mnu file onto my desktop. Right clicked and rename to tomom.mnu.txt , this allows you to edit it in Notepad.
17) After talking to oldboy I found the line in the tomom.mnu file for enable autoswticher on page 1 and the file qucik add camera on page 4.
18 ) And swaped them so now my add camera is on page 1.
19) This way you can play around with the menu to your hearts content. |

P.S I hope this helps,
You will still have to make a note of what the camera is e.g. mobile ,redlight etc and when you email this sight let them know what sort of camera it was. |

You don't have to rename the MNU file with the txt extension as when you right click the file the Notepad option will be there by default and from there you just click Notepad and the file opens ready for edit . _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial

You need to replace the phone menu entry with this one
MENUITEM|TASK_DIAL_POI
I had the same problem and this cured it _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial

can you list your MNU file on this page please as no matter what I change I still end up with Quick cam on page 4 instead of page 1. _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial

if you see my nav menu in my first post this is now what it looks like
MENUBLOCK|BLOCK_MAIN|BTM_GPS_POSITION|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE1|Main Menu 1 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_NAVIGATE_TO|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_FIND_ALTERNATIVES|
MENUITEM|TASK_DELETE_ROUTE|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK1|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PREFERENCES|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE2|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE2|Main Menu 2 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PLAN_ATOB|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_MAP|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_ROUTE_INSTRUCTIONS|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|
MENUITEM|TASK_ITINERARY|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE3|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE3|Main Menu 3 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_WEATHER|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_DOWNLOAD|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_TRAFFIC|
MENUITEM|TASK_TUTORIAL|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_GPS_STATUS|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE4|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE4|Main Menu 4 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_ADD_FAVORITE|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK5|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK2|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK3|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK4|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE1|
The only thing i can think of is jimbokd is that the order of apps in sdkregistry, as in add cam was fisrt so sdk1 = add cam on fisrt page |

the phone menu entry will be in your tomtom.mnu file, which there are two ways of changin both of these are in this thread using notepad,
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|
I think is the one that jimbokb is telling you to replace with
MENUITEM|TASK_DIAL_POI |

I have tried your mnu file which does put Quick Cam on page 1 but also puts 4 more entries of Cam on page 4 which in itself is not a problem.
But when I enter the MENUITEM|TASK_DIAL_POI which is needed in order to connect phone for Tomtom plus everything goes wild with The Quick Cam moving from page 1 to page 4 even though I did not the above item on page 1, I put on page four. _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial

here is my mnu.
MENUBLOCK|BLOCK_MAIN|BTM_GPS_POSITION|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE1|Main Menu 1 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_NAVIGATE_TO|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_FIND_ALTERNATIVES|
MENUITEM|TASK_DELETE_ROUTE|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK1|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PREFERENCES|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE2|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE2|Main Menu 2 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PLAN_ATOB|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_MAP|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_ROUTE_INSTRUCTIONS|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|
MENUITEM|TASK_ITINERARY|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE3|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE3|Main Menu 3 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_WEATHER|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_DOWNLOAD|
MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_TRAFFIC|
MENUITEM|TASK_TUTORIAL|
MENUITEM|TASK_SHOW_GPS_STATUS|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE4|
MENUPAGE|TASK_PAGE4|Main Menu 4 of 4|
MENUITEM|TASK_ADD_FAVORITE|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK5|
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK2|
MENUITEM|TASK_DIAL_POI
MENUITEM|TASK_SDK4|
MENUITEM|TASK_PAGE1|
This shows SDK1 on page 1 but it is not it is on page 4.
Add Favourites on above file shows it to be on page 4 but infact it is on page 1. _________________ TTG 300,External Aerial
