Hi, some threads are saying that once you pair your phone that it asks for your phone make and service provider, but for some strange reason that doesnt do it on my ttg it just says once the phone is paired 'do you want to setup wireless internet connection' I hit no because we cant get traffic or weather in australia and I am not planning on downloading any voices or maps and then it says 'do you want to setup handsfree connection' or something like that and then I hit yes and then all is well but there is still no little selecty-servicey-phony-modely box on ttg, is there something I am doing wrong??
Thanks Andgps |

I would have thought it would only need the phone make & service provider for an Internet connection. Making phone calls is done by the necessary BT profile and it's (Almost) phone independent & is certainly provider independent.
As for being in Oz... What level of maps do you get for that? I haven't seen them for sale separately. Do you know if maps of NZ are available too? |

How's the coverage of the Oz maps? e.g. around Queensland? (And Sydney/Melborne).
What about the smaller places? Is that well covered? I remember when Garmin first brought out their maps for Oz, it was pretty sparse in some places, but that was a while ago... |
