the receiver may be stuck in SiRF mode. Use SiRFdemo or SGPSView to switch it into NMEA mode (at 38400) _________________ Lutz

Hi hazza55
Have you got the GPS receiver and Tomtom 5 speaking to each other yet? When I first upgraded from TT3 to TT5 I had the same trouble as you. I hadn’t a clue what SiRF mode, NMEA mode or SiRFdemo were. If it hadn’t been for Pocket GPS world Forum I would never have got TT5 running. The advice you have already received should have sorted things out for you, but if not just keep corresponding. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

this clearly indicates the receiver is still in SIRF protocol mode. Switch it to NMEA. _________________ Lutz
