Anyone heard of this......
Bought an i3 (yesterday) pluged it in and away i went. No problems so far but the unit kept on freezing. Got to where I needed to be and called Garmin. They told me it was a probelm they were aware of and that I needed to download the latest software (2.50). No problem (or so I thought!). Got home, downloaded and installed the software (all went ok) and now the unit can't see any satellites - at all!!!
I'll be calling Garmin later, but you guys seem to be more helpful / knowledgeable!!! |

on first boot up and after installing new software i had to wait about 10mins before it picked up the satellites - sit outside or in the car with it while it finds them, patience is a virtue

MaFt is correct..the i3 on a fresh startup needs to load an 'almanac' which has all the details of the i3's location..sometimes this takes up to 10 to 15 minutes...also check you havnt choosen the 'gps off' mode in the menu.. |

Thanks guys
It did work in the end, but took about an hour to sort itself. The speed camera info seems to work a treat as well!
Thanks again |
