|
|
After receiving my pack of discs from tomtom, i loaded the great britain plus maps onto an sd card which had the Spanish maps already loaded on it, when directed, I visited the ttcode site and registered, but when i tried to open navigator on my ipaq after filling in the code when asked, the message stated "this is not a spanish map product code" I then proceeded to buy a 1GB SD Card and start from scratch but all i have access to is the original maps and data, but not the tomtom plus maps and data with post codes etc. I have repeated the loading procedure many times but it is still the same.
Could someone help please because the tomtom site and FAQ's don't cover this situation. |

This may sound stupid
but have you actually installed tomtom 5 as well as the maps?
It is on a seprate cd to the maps. It needs to be installed and run - sounds like the you may still have tomtom nav 3 and therefore it won't see the maps
Just a thought.

Hi TCT
I agree with iancjc. Have you installed the actual TT5 program first. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Thanks you guys for your replys. I hope I am not really thick, but my upgrade pack from tomtom only contains six discs, number one being for Great Britain Plus etc. So are you saying there should have been a disc solely for tomtom 5 setup with the pack.
Regards

yep you should have a 7th disc.
Not labeled with a no. but saying application and manual.
If you don't have this - try downloading ttn 5.1 update (this is the ful program minus the maps so should do the job) and install that it should work ok - if not you need a copy of the application disc.

Hi TCT
Yes, as iancjc as already said, you should have 7 disks. The first six disks have their number (1 to 6) on the right hand side and the seventh has no number. The unnumbered disk contains Tomtom Navigator, Tomtom PIM, Tomtom GPS, Tomtom Wizard, English-Jane-GB and the Manual. In other words the whole installation. You can’t do anything with out it. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

If you have only 6 CD's you bought the MOWE accessory map set, not the MOWE upgrade. You can't use the product code from the accessory map set without an original TTN5 product code. The MOWE upgrade pack comes with its own Europe TTN5 productcode. |
