hi
what you have is fine but you will have to look in the speed zoned ones to get the variable ones if you want them
i believe that the variable ones will still be in the gatso file as well as the variable file so you dont need to put them in if you dont want to
the choice is up to you... but take into account if you put all the speed zoned ones into tomtom it will use up at least 18 catagories out of the 27/40 you can use

speed zoned = the icons lets you know the limit for example 30 in a 30mph limit,
so a variable gatso, would let you know that the gatso ahead was a variable one and not for example an automtic seventy limit
if thats the case i am fine, as i dont need that level of detail, as mentioned before just that there is a camera say mobile in front of me,
p.s. sorry for being thick, but i explain it to the people i work with as they have tomtom go's |

hi
yes thats correct 30=30mph etc
variable just flashes as a red circle with a black star in it as obviously it cannot know what the limit is every minuite of the day
it sounds as if you do not need it in this amount of detail in which case just put the normal ov2 bmp files in eg gatso/mobile/temp/specs/redlight as these will tell you which type of camera is ahead only(not what speed limit)

Forgive me if I'm being incredibly 'nice but dim', but I've just downloaded the pocketgps v3.094 and looked in the 'speed zoned' folder and all that's in there are 'gatso' and 'mobile' folders. Nothing with 'redlight' & 'specs' etc.?? Where are they???
I have them in my GO from previous S-C files, with their individual icons, but I can't see where the new updated files are! _________________ Cheers, Doc L.

Hi DocL,
Have you got a folder called "ov2 bmp files", as that's where they should be.

OK guys, now here's the 'rub'.
Up till now I've updated all the seperate speed-zoned and 'redlight,' 'specs' and 'continental' categories, with their different icons for the different cameras. All in different POI categories.
In the latest update, all these different cameras have been amalgamated into the one 'single file version' {i.e. the "ov2 bmp file"} with the one icon covering all the different cameras.
Now I can see that this is the way I may need to go, to save on POI categories, but wondered why it's been changed so as to prevent easy updating of these seperate 'redlight,' 'specs' and 'continental' etc. categories. _________________ Cheers, Doc L.

Thanks Richard, I don't think I've updated them since May; but then I'm a very careful driver, of course _________________ Cheers, Doc L.
