Found this site while searching for POI's for my new GPS system.
Recently i upgraded my phone with 3 to the Motorola A1000, i always wanted a PDA for some reason and this was the sort of middle ground.
While looking around the web for accessories for the A1000 i stumbled across mobilefun.co.uk where i found, amongst other things, the Navicore GPS system.
I had always liked the look of the TomTom sat-navs so was unsure if i should purchase the Navicore sat-nav without sending an e-mail to TomTom support asking when, if ever, they will support the A1000..the response i got was un-inspiring.
So i took the plunge and bought the Navicore system and i have to say it's been great, the saftey camera database that i converted with Navicores editor seems to work fine so far and the GPS receiver is awsome.
All in all i'm glad i held off getting a PDA/TomTom combo as i now have a completley wireless GPS sat-nav system for half the price of a TomTom Go.
Great site by the way, lots of info and resources for a GPS virgin like myself |
