Thanks Zogman! I haven't even bought it yet, but my local Citroen garage is selling it at £350 inc vat and by all accounts this is a good buy? For that sort of money, would you say it was an ok bit of kit?

Just done it on my C330. Download Garmin's POI Installer, extract the .csv version of our camera database from the download and run the POI installer.

Easy peasee.

Personally, for that money I'd buy a Go 300.

looked at the I3 as well now! I'm stumped! I just don't know what to go for in the £300 ish market. I do need it to give audible warnings on approach to cameras though. The speed camera is a constant pain for the likes of me - sales rep!

ANy suggestions of what to buy and how to get the relevant speed camera info on the unit would be most helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're a rep then finding addresses must be an essential feature? The GO has 7 Digit PostCode lookup, the others don't.

TomTom also has the best speed camera POI support.

If it were my money I'd still buy the GO.

Forget TomTom and go for Garmin i3 or c320. I have both TomTom GO and Garmin c320 and find the Garmin is way better. It is more accurate (uses Navteq which I find on the whole to be better than TeleAtlas). Also the speed warnings on the Garmin are better as it constantly beeps as long as you are driving above the speed limit unlike the TomTom that beeps once (I use the same database from this website so no difference in accuracy). Finally Garmin's customer service is beyond any doubt better than TomTom's and the build quality of the Garmin is also better. 8) The only thing is that the c320 hasn't got the postcode search yet but this is coming soon.

Each to their own I guess but I have a c330 here and wouldn't choose it over a GO. The interface is poor, address lookup is slow and the maps are no better.

Regardless of what some may say, there is no difference between Navteq and TeleAtlas in overall quality.

I would go with c310 - supports full postcode search. Its a newer unit than c320! Only £289 at amazon (compared to £359 at Maplin).

Nobby10....

depends how rich you are....as mention in another thread it is possible to buy an i3 for £170 using an egg card and a currys pro-mo code....you can postcode search and address search with an i3.....i've had one for about 3 weeks now and have made two long journeys ,for the the size of the screen you can see it very well ,the voice directions are very clear and loud, the advantage of loading speed cameras is a great bonus ,its easily mounted on its suction pad and the only small niggle is on the 'faster' navigation setting the i3 tends to divert you slightly off route to get to a faster road but having it on 'shorter' setting i had no problems...i paid £199 and for the price i love it...its your choice nobby but i get the feeling it will increase in price soon (for xmas) and if you dont like it sell for the same price or more (maybe)
