|
|
Thanks to you all regarding my question about getting my Mio 168 connected to the internet via WiFi.
I now have the problem of getting a SD WiFi card, as the Sandisk WiFi card is no longer in production I can't find any others that will work on my 168. I looked at the Mio website & they say that only SDIO cards will work on the 168 & not SDIO Now cards, I can only find SDIO Now cards on the net so I want to ask you if you know of any other cards that will work on my Mio.
I understand that Sandisk stopped making their card due to a high failure rate so I would, perhaps, be better off with another brand if one is made.
Thanks in advance |

Hi maca2
You were probably very lucky not to get the Sandisk Wifi card, I had two and both failed on me and I am not too happy, I have heard bad things about those cards on the net too!
I went on Ebay in the end and got an SD wifi card and have never looked back.
The one I have is a Safecom SD Wireless card.
Please note:
Iam not promoting the below site at all but on a search here is one that is on Ebay now.

Hope this helps you
Cheers

Thanks for that tel33,
Do you know if the Safecom will work on a Mio as it needs to be a SDIO card but not SDIO Now.
Have not a clue what SDIO Now is but Mio's website says the Mio 168 is not SDIO Now compatible. |

As far as I know the SDIO Now is a pretty new technology.
The Safecom SD Wireless card is a SDIO that will work in an SDIO now socket, the best bet would be to do a search on the net or look on Safecoms website.

Hope this helps
