hello,
have got everything running at the moment and working but after around 10 minutes it says no gps device and the gps signal is lost........it requires a restart to work again but the signal is lost again after 10 minutes.......could the problem be i am not using an original tomtom gps receiver but another brand as my original receiver went missing when my car was broken into and i thought i would use an old receiver i had spare |

hello again,
thought i had sorted it out but still drops the connection after aroung 10 mins......says no gps device
i decided to get a new tomtom receiver from globalpostioning....to replace the one that was stolen and see if that cures the problem
because ttm5 for the 7710 only gave the option to use the tomtom receiver perhaps the program checks every 10 mins or so to see if the receiver is a genuine tomtom unit and drops the signal if it isnt a genuine tomtom receiver |

UPDATE
received a genuine tomtom bluetooth receiver from globalpostioning..excellent service
everything works perfectly now...........so a word of warning this version of ttm5 for the 7710 will not work with any other gps receiver except tomtoms own bluetooth receiver |
