I have the above with Navigator but does anyone know any other way of powering the device up than using the car cigarette lighter. The one in our van does not work and we need to use the sat nav at the weekend to drive to Kent on a job. Apparently the electrics on the van need doing and they can't do it until next week. I am trying to get on the Medion UK website but it is down unless they have changed their website address?
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks

Pop into your local Maplin store, buy a Lighter cable extension lead, cut plug off, feed lead thru bulkhead, connect it to battery, MAKING SURE + - are correct, center pin of plug/socket are positive (+).
Then use that, you could connect it behind the dash, but if the van has airbags then I would not do that, you never know what it may do if not connect right.
I would also think that any good car accessory shop should have a lead. |
