I have TT5 installed on a HP 1040. I have installed the camera POI's in to my GB map folder and the cameras appear on my TT5. What is the benefit of me installing CheckPoint? |

Extra warnings for each event, plus your own choice of voice warnings, but if you use the default TT5 Polite 2 warning then it's hard to miss that poi event.
There are other features, like syncing to other sites to download other poi's, define key to record poi etc.
TT5 poi's warning system is quite good I think, so unless you are in to using lots of different poi's with your own voice files then I would not worry about it, but give it a try, then you will know for sure. |

Thanks for your response. I did try using Checkpoint 5.02 However, in the overlay tab is stated 'Not Syncronised'. Therefore, I could not associate a wav file. Was I doing something wrong? |

Can you open up the tab anyhow? I did, and it didn't seem to matter, I could find the overlays.
I've discovered another advantage of CheckPOInt. I have a 2-year-old kid who bursts into tears when a mysterious voice from the dashboard says "turn left", but isn't bothered by the chime alarm that I'm using for CheckPOInt. I can navigate with TT's sound off, and still get audible camera warnings. |

Try the following download link for silent voices in TT5 - it works and doesn't need the CheckPOI - only posting this as not everyone has had sucess with the CheckPOI - I hope it will get there in the end as it was a great product when combined with vs3

Just load it into the voices folder (or my documents/tomtom) and you get no audio voice prompts just the TT POI warner, or try the other warning voices avail from the same site - well worth a dig around as to what is on there - Mike |
