I have used Navigator 5 since downloading the upgrade in July onto my Ipaq 2400. I loaded the maps and postcode file onto a PNY 1 Gig SD card. All worked well in Britain and France but now find that the programme can't find the maps. When I look at the SD card in the Ipaq file explorer nothing is listed but when I search for large files there they all are! I don't seem to be able to retrieve or move them. To make matters worse My notebook was stolen at the same time with the downloaded upgrade on it. I know, should have backed up! Anyone know:
a how can I access the maps and files on the card
b is the card corrupt
c if corrupt how do I go about getting a copy of the upgrade without having to pay for it agin. TomTom support does not seem to answer emails.
Many thanks in anticipation |

Provide TomTom Supoort with a proof of purchase (fax it to them) and ask for a replacement CD set. _________________ Lutz

The upgrade came as a set of CDs and a product code to activate it - If you dowloaded it, I suspect it was not a legal copy and this forum does not support pirates.
As for the card - I have a good idea what you need to do - but this forum does not support pirates. |

Thanks for the replies. I had forgotten that the update came on CD! I was confused with the downloaded patches. I can assure you I am definately legal. I am going to reinstall now I have found the upgrade CD where I left it in its's very (too safe ) place.
Still can't figure out the SD card issue, think I will have a go at removing everything I can and start again.
Thanks again |

I am naturaly trusting so - Have you taken the card out - soft rest the PPC and then inserted the card? That solved some strange card behaviour I experieinced.
The other option is to use a card reader to copy everythign fro mthe card toa computer, then reformat it and then load everythign back - that will defrag the card also and speeds things up a lot in my experience. |
