I would like to buy a portable sat nav system for the car but cannot decide which one would be better. Currently considering:
1. Navman ICN520 - Like the compact design but not sure if 5 digit postcode search would be an issue. Is 5 digit search really much worse than the full 7 digit search?

2. Tom Tom Go 500 - Like the idea of 7 digit postcode but feel the bulkiness of the unit lets it down when needing to remove from car and store in pocket.

Ideally I want a nice slim unit that is easily stored with full 7 digit postcode search and must be able to have the Safety Camera database loaded to it.
Are there any other units you think I should be considering.
Confused

Hi Rando,
point 1. the 5 digit postcode will get you to the area, you then type in street and house number and off you go.
point 2. this is exac
shughie.tly the reason I went for the 520 as opposed to tom tom.
Hope this is of some help.

that screwed up a bit, sorry.

point 1 the 5 digit postcode gets you to the area, you then type in street and house number and off you go.

point 2 that is exactly why I went for the 520 as opposed to the tom tom
shughie.
