Hi Everyone. Can someone answer a few quesrions for me please. I have a Hp iPQ rz 1700 with Viamitchelin, can someone tell me how to do a FULL backup of my SD card, Incase the original is damaged, and what size/make should I buy, I only want it for england, scotland and wales maps, and no other data, Mp3's other softwear, etc, I will get another card at a later date for that. I have read on here, some people say 256 is enough, some say get 512, I read about people making their own maps and downloading them onto their PDA, why would you want to do that, What is the advantage of using your own maps as a pose to the one's you already have, why would you want more detailed maps if you are being directed to your destination by the Sat Nav. Thanks for any replies.

Using A Card Reader
Just copy contents of old card to a folder on the P C Call it something like Tomtom SD BackUp then remove the SD. when you get new card insert the new one and copy the contents of said folder back to new card.
Using USB Cable preferably USB 2.0 port & cable (will work with USB 1.1 but will be very slow)
Create folder on PC call it something like Tomtom SD BackUp.
Connect Tomtom to computer via USB cable (make sure Tomtom is connected to power supply if possible) then turn on Tomtom, wait for flashing SD icon on tomtom to stop flashing, then open my computer & locate Tomtom (removable drive) open drive and copy contents of drive to a folder of your choosing.
when you get new card insert the new one and copy the contents of said folder back to new card.
