Just checked my subscription and it does not appear to have changed, has anyone else had theirs extended yet by one month? |

Yes - I think I have. It looked on Wednesday as though my (trial) subscription was due to end on 23/9, and now my expiry date is 24/10.
If we carry on like this, I'll never have to pay - I started my one month trial on the 28th July, I think - and have had it extended already because of poor quality of the traffic service.
I guess I'll have to make the choice soon whether to cough up for it. It's not ideal, at the moment, but it has the potential of being really useful if they can improve the timeliness of the info.
Cheers,
Steve. |

the extension of the traffic service was because the tomtom sever was down for 3-4 days while so matianece was carried out not a bad deal really _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

well be aware of TOMTOM customer service.
it looks to me (who's paid for the subscription) that only people on a trial have had the extention - I certainly haven't.
A good example of tomtom's treatment of customers - we've had you money now ^&%^ off.
I'll email them a request to extend it - but I don't think I should have to do this.
As for it was only down for 4 days so a free month is good value - what utter crap - I pay for a traffic service (in those 4 days I drove 800 - 1000 miles without the service I paid for) if tomtom want to swop servers without adequate backup facilities it highlights what a shambles they are. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

I have had word from TomTom that the reason they hadn't started issuing the extensions was because of the server migration. This has now been completed so you should start to see your 1 month extensions being applied.
I suspect that TomTom wanted to let people know that they were going to do something about it, but couldn't until the server switch over had been completed. _________________ Mike Barrett |
